Molar Control

It has always been a real challenge to control molar position when all teeth are not banded/bonded. But, in many cases it is advantageous not to band/bond all teeth – particularly when the second molars are normally positioned from the start. An approach will be discovered that not only offers control of molar position, but eliminates the need for lingual arches or second molar banding – when no movement is required. This will not have been taught in the academic world.

The exposure to “Force Driven Archwires,” instead of  “Shape Driven Archwires,” may result in questioning the need for prescription brackets. There is no need to alter one’s choice of brackets (single wing or twin), slot sizes, etc., but it should be both convenient and less expensive to avoid use of the many devices used in combination with bracket therapy.

Discover how molar control bends can successfully treat palatal contrictions with archwires only. This is a highly successful approach that simply has not been taught.

Never again should crossbite elastics – and therefore, patient cooperation – be required for correction of a crossbite. Crossbites can be corrected with the use of molar control bends.
